I would love to show you guys a completed nursery, but I still have a few days before the curtains arrive. I also need a little help from the hubby to hang my canvas art and move the glider into the room. I knew when the big comfy gliding-recliner arrived at our house that it would quickly become Brandon’s favorite spot! He might need a little “reminder” that it’s for the nursery =)
Until then, here are a few pictures of how things are progressing…(Please forgive the sub-par photos. I took these from my iPhone with little natural light. Enough said, right?)
I painted the gray stripes on canvas and added vinyl letters for the names.
I used scrapbook paper left over from my Baby Shower to fill the frames above the dresser. The music-box horse was a gift from Brandon’s grandmother.
I can’t wait to fill this frame =)
And some more DIY art beside the closet…
Speaking of closets…here is a quick glimpse into the future of twin parents!! I can’t imagine what we are going to do when these girls learn to shop!
I am so excited to finish things up in the nursery. Stay tuned for a final reveal in the coming weeks!!
Since we found out we were having babies, one of the things I couldn’t wait to do was decorate the nursery. I spent most of the first two months looking at gender-neutral nurseries. Now that we know these two munchkins are girls – I am more than ready to get started!
We purchased the cribs and mattresses at least two months ago because the deal was just too good to pass up. Last week, we ordered a recliner glider (who knew these heavenly things even existed??) from Target and I can’t wait for it to arrive! If the gray and white shades are as pretty in person as they are on the screen – I might just be in love!
After buying the chair, I wanted to start narrowing down my choices to see how things were going to fit together in the room. I knew that I wanted to use soft colors in pink, green, aqua and gray. Here is my inspiration thus far…
I am thrilled to see all of the elements coming together!! We are planning to start setting things up this weekend, which I am so excited about. There is more than likely a quick trip to Ikea in our future – so you may want to say a prayer for Brandon =) I think he is still traumatized from the last 6-hour one…
