Hannah and Emily are ONE!

This post is a couple weeks overdue, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to celebrate my girls. Our day began with a crib full of pink balloons and yummy pancakes! We originally had the girls’ party planned for that day since it happened to fall on Saturday, but rain was forecasted for almost the entire day so we decided to postpone. I’m actually glad we did because I loved our quiet family time together. We bought the girls a small slide to play with inside. Their big present was a swing set (completely unbeknownst to them since, ashamedly, it’s still in the box in the backyard…). I’m pretty sure we’re going to have a dead spot on the grass. I digress.

The girls were so cute playing with the balloons. In true fashion, Emily tried to eat them…

…and Hannah snuggled in with them all around.

Oh girls. You melt mommy’s heart. This year feels like it has flown by.

I will definitely share the BIG party photos with you! Our theme was pink lemonade and the weather certainly lived up to the theme. It was HOT! I may or may not have completely changed our backyard landscape in preparation for this party. Here are a couple of teaser photos from their fun day… ūüôā

So cute! Happy Birthday, babies ūüôā Mommy loves you to the moon!!

When I started this blog years ago, I was looking for a place to utilize my creativity.¬† Mostly I¬†wanted to focus on designing and organizing our home with a few family posts here and there.¬† So much has changed since that time.¬† I still love everything home design, but don’t have time for many projects these days.¬† Last year (8/2/13) I gave birth to twin girls.¬† They are wonderful and exhausting!¬† I have spent countless hours over the past 10 months juggling multiples, keeping up with a home and job,¬†and researching baby products!¬† I haven’t posted on my blog in so long because I wasn’t sure how those things¬†fit into my “theme.”¬† You see, I am Business Analyst by profession.¬† My mind works best¬†in organized systems.¬† I kept thinking my posts needed to fit into the neat and perfectly organized box I had set out to achieve.¬† Then (today) I¬†realized something. ¬†This blog was supposed to be an outlet for me to be creative and life is not a perfectly organized box.¬† My quiet life as a newlywed has evolved into the wild ride that is a work-from-home mom with multiples!¬† I hope you all continue to read as I chronicle the adventures of our new life.¬† And hopefully I will find a little bit of time to tackle a few items on my home improvement wishlist along the way.
