Atlanta & The World of Coke!

Brandon and I took a quick trip to Atlanta over the weekend.  Sometimes I am ashamed at how many great things there are to do just an hour away that we haven’t found the time to visit yet.  So we were determined to try something new and that turned out to be visiting the World of Coke (in our defense, both of us visited the Old World of Coke when we were kids).

It was very hot and crowded (which is to be expected on a weekend in August), but other than that we had no complaints!

The tour started in a large room with lots of Coke advertisements and memorabilia.  The tour guide was super friendly with high-energy and did a great job of entertaining the crowd.

I apologize for the clarity…it was super dark…

Having fun… =)

There were lots of cool things we forgot to capture like watcing the bottling process and the 4-D movie.  I guess we were too busy having fun!  The tour ended with a taste of Coke products all over the world.  Brandon felt the need to model the process for you…

We headed back to the car just in time to walk through the rain.  I love Permberton Park (the grassy area between the World of Coke and the Georgia Aquarium).  Can’t you just imagine having a nice picnic here (minus the rain)…?

The sun peeped through the clouds during the drive home.  I think I take a picture like this through the sunroof  almost everytime we drive through Atlanta…

So it turned out to be a nice weekend trip to the city.  What do you guys like to do on the weekends?  Have you found your favorite place where you always want to be or are you up for new adventures?  I’d love to hear from you!
